Did you install the chipset drivers also? They are on the "Optional Downloads" tab (Same link as the 18.5.1 Adrenaline drivers)

So now I've done it!!! After removing the AMD software the picture came back normal but now under device manager I have no display adapter just other device with VGA compatible. How do I get the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter back?????
Can't find a download anywhere for it.

Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is basically the Standard VGA driver. It's just a placeholder.
Did you try removing the "VGA compatible" device and allow Windows to redetect it?
