    PRINTER PROBLEM

I have an HP psc 950xi printer installed on my Win 98 computer. It works except when it will not print. The problem
is when I go to PRINTERS-PROPERTIES I find the offline box checked and this keeps returning slowing down my print time.
Is there a way to stop this??

Answers to questions needed to narrow down the possible causes:

Is the printer attached directly to your Windows 98 computer?

Are you printing to it from the Windows 98 computer?

When you boot up the Windows 98 computer, do you power up the printer first and wait for it to be ready?

If you were using the printer as a network printer, the following link might be useful:

    Hello,

I have Windows 98. Is there a valid driver for HP P1102w Printer (just bought it on an auction due to the reduced price)? Should I perhaps better upgrade the system?

I've been sick and tired of searching for the driver already..
    Any recommendations are appreciated.

    Thank you,

HP does not have an official Windows 98 driver for the P1102w.

What are you still using a Windows 98 system for?

    Possible options:

    1. Run Windows 98 as a Virtual Machine on a computer with a supported version of Windows.

    2. Print to a .pdf printer driver and transfer the .pdf files to a system where the printer is supported.
