How to open pdf files within Edge AND Not by Edge
I use Win 10 on a laptop. I have changed the default PDF app in Windows to Foxit Reader and I have Googled how to have Edge browser open pdf files within Edge using the default reader within Windows. Right click on a pdf file and select the reader I want, then click on "always use this" -- which in my case is not there -- and it will work. Still when browsing in Edge and I wish to click on a pdf file -- a bank statement, for instance -- it still is opened by Edge. Is there a work around this, or is the work around to use another browser? Thanks for your help.

I seem to recall that Microsoft removed that capability in their last "update". The solution would be not to use Edge. I'll see if I can find the link to that information.

Thanks for your reply. I thought that it might be a Microsoft action. I will make the decision whether to change browser of not now that I know it is not some additional step I needed to take. Don't spend a bunch of time trying to find the link. I appreciate your help.
