external harddrive files -too many duplicates

Seagate External Harddrive 1 TB in size.. Problem is the external is downloading all the previous days jpgs instead of just looking for the new photos to add.

I know this is an Incremental issue but the question I need is it a software issue for the hardrive? or just a setting only within the seagate folders .?

    Thanks

Are you using some sort of backup software? If so which one....and have you looked at it's settings?

SyncBack for example will copy all the files you tell it too... After the first big run, it will only copy new or changed files.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
