Disconnect Laptop Keyboard Without Uninstalling Driver?
Hello Everyone, I am now using an exterior keyboard on a hp dv5-1150us laptop. How to disable but not uninstall keyboard? Thanks

Do 2 keyboard entries appear in Device Manager? If yes, you could try disabling the one for the built-in keyboard.
However, I am not sure why you would want to do this. If you disconnected the external keyboard, or your USB connection failed, you would be left with no keyboard driver functioning.

It seems you have to uninstall its driver to disable it, I dont want to do that, I am using a external keyboard as mentioned. is there a way to disable laptop keyboard without removing its driver?

Why do you need to disable the built-in keyboard? As jdc2000 said, you'd be left without any keyboard if you disconnect or lose the USB connection.
I don't think you can disable the keyboard unless you physically disconnect it. I don't recall ever seeing laptop bioses with an option to disable keyboards. You'd essentially be locking yourself out.
