Nero Platinum 2018
I have a relative who installed Nero platinum 2018. She said that it won't work with her blu-ray disc player. She said it says that there isn't a blu-ray player. Any suggestions?

Nero Platinum is junk. They have been gradually removing a lot of functionality while adding lots of bling-bling and eye candy.

The forum software mangled it. Copy and paste the link below:

Warning: It has an autoplay video with ads that you may want to stop.

If the system came with a BD drive, it should have come with a player like Cyberlink PowerDVD.
What is the make/model of the computer? If they bought the BD drive separately, did it come with any software?

JDC2000, I will pass that link you provided to her. Thank you for that link.
Hi Midknyte. I am unsure of the make/model of her computer, but I do know she uses win 10. She was under the impression that she would be able to play Blu-Ray discs with Nero platinum 2018. I think Nero platinum 2018 may be only able to copy or burn blu-ray discs, but does not offer playback of them. Does anyone know if that is true (Nero does not offer Blu-Ray playback)?

According to the review at the link below, the Platinum edition should be able to play Blu Ray discs. This is the only review I have seen that mentions this though.

JDC2000, in my search I ran across on one website that Nero removed Blu-Ray playback on Nero 2016 Platinum, so I would assume it may have still been not available on any newer version (2017 and 2018), as well. I am not sure how true that is though.
