Wow, things are so small for these old eyes of mine
I have a laptop.
Running Win10
For some dumb reason all of a sudden everything is so tiny that I have to put my face up to the screen in order to read anything. This includes the icons on my screen, Firefox browser and Thunderbird.
I have tried so many settings in what I think is "personalize" in windows.
This old man here used to be so good with computers back 20 years ago but with my eye sight going and a very long list of everything else I have lost touch with computers and especially Windows (new versions).
I think this laptop started with Win7, then I upgraded to 8 and the other ones. Don't even ask me what laptop I have, all I know it is an HP that I bought back in Dec of 2013 and paid over $1,000 for it.
Please help me be able to see what is on the screen.
Thanks

Microsoft is currently in the process of helpfully moving various functions around so that you can't find them.
The link below may be useful in locating the setting(s) you need:

Thanks jdc2000. That was just what I needed.
I can see the screen again without squinting. I don't use the magnifier normally, just needed to make the screen bigger so I could read it without my face pressed up to it.
The instructions did not match what I had exactly but I was able to adjust it so at least now I can use the computer.
Why do they keep moving things around on us? I am starting to feel as though we have to take Windows classes on a regular basis just to be able to use our darn personal computers now.
Thanks again for your help and have a great holiday season.

Microsoft has moved settings again in their latest update. This will likely be an ongoing problem. But, for $85 per hour, a Microsoft Certified support specialist will be glad to help you. Otherwise, you will probably have to try a Google search for instructions every time you want to do something, or post another question here.
