Sound suddenly aweful
Hi,
its happened now for the second time in 3 days... the sound
suddenly turned crap .... horrible growling and slurring sound
when trying to listen to int radio , or a vid on facebook or a vid file
I cured it last time by restarting the computor.
Just wondering what has caused it and is there any way I can cure
it without having to reboot ?
thanks for any advice

Did this happen in the middle of an audio/video playback or at the beginning of one.
If a reboot fixed the issue, it sounds like a software or memory corruption issue.
If it happens again, you could stop playback and see if the issue is affecting the system sounds also, as well as checking Device Manager and Services (Audio items) for any issues.

its just suddenly there.... whenever I play internet radio... a vid file ... an audio file
you can still make out whats being said, but its an aweful quality sound .
its happened twice now in the past 10 days or so, Im just wondering what on earth could cause it !
I have a desk top comp and I have a line out through the earphone socket into a small music centre..... that way I can make audio tape recordings of anything interesting I hear.
Maybe next time I should check its not the cable connection or something !
anyway, thanks for comments..... Ill get back to this thread if this sound problem comes back again

You could try shutting down the computer, then unplugging and re-plugging the cable a few times (both ends). It could be a bad connection there.
