CD to CD
What ho one and all,
My wife wants to give a music CD to an elderly friend in a nursing home. I have never copied cd to cd before and it seems to be a nightmare.
Using WMP, I have ripped the files to the My Music folder, where they are listed as WMA. I have tried CD Burner XP to burn the audio cd and it has certainly created the cda files on the cd, but the disk does not play in a CD player.
So I thought, give WMP a try. The only message I get is to 'Connect a burner and restart the player.' What does this mean? How do I do that? The burner is one of the drives installed in the computer and is listed on the relevant WMP / Options section. Restarting has not made WMP recognize the burner.
Grateful for any suggestions.
Toodle pip and thanks
Rex

Thanks. did not try that. However, having ripped the cd to the hdd and used CDBurner Pro to burn to cd, it did create the cda files and on the computer, everything looked fine. But did not play in a cd player.
However, SWMBO has now given the original away. I have the wma files in My Music and want to try burning with WMP but the burner is not registering, even though it is part of the computer hardware.
Any solutions?

Did you check to see what formats the cd player supports?
I normally use the copy disk option
