NO Audio
Dell Laptop Latitude E6400 with Windows 7 Pro.
There is no sound. Device Mgr. shows a yellow mark on the audio driver. I deleted the driver , downloaded the IDT audio driver and ran the setup. IT took a long time and then said complete and rebooted. After the reboot was complete the sound still does not work and the yellow mark is still in device mgr. When I check the playback options, it only shows ANV virtual sound device so I am not able to choose IDT audio driver as the default.

What was the exact file you downloaded?
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/...driverId=T10V6
I think this should have been the file:
File Format: Hard-Drive
File Name: IDT_92HDXXX-HD-AUDIO_A03_R297613.exe

I downloaded the file IDT_92HDXXX-HD-AUDIO_A03_R297613.exe and ran it. It gave me an error message "" the hardware detected is not supported by this software."" There was a log file which I saved, do you want me to send it to you?

Is it 32 or 64 bit Windows?
The downloaded file was IDTv087.zip
I don't see that file listed on the Dell Support site. Where did you get it?
When did this problem start? Did you try a System Restore to a previous point?
I downloaded the file IDT_92HDXXX-HD-AUDIO_A03_R297613.exe and ran it. It gave me an error message "" the hardware detected is not supported by this software."
I don't think the log file would help much, but you can post the info if you want.
It might help if you posted a screenshot of your Device Manager and any error description you are seeing.
Did you delete the audio device from Device Manager before installing the driver?

The problem is fixed now.
I Right clicked the Speaker Icon > Volume control Option and then checked the
box for speakers IDT HD Audio.
The problem started when I installed ANV Video Converter.
Thanks for your Help.
