I cannot find out how to put in a new label on google. Nothing works. How do you do it?

What sort of label are you referring to?

A label/caption for a desktop shortcut to the Google search page?

A label for a Bookmark or Favorite to Google in a web browser? If this, then which browser?

Or, something else?

I want to add labels to my gmail list. I cannot find SETTINGS. How do I find it. I am trying to add labels
and cannot find how to do it.

In the upper right hand corner of Gmail is a "GEAR" which is a universal symbol for "Settings."

Did you look at the link I posted? You shouldn't have to go into Settings. There is a "Create new label" option if you expand the "More" in the left column.
