    Opera browser

I use Opera as my secondary browser. Is it normal for it to show 12 threads in Task Manager, adding up to 34 GB of RAM, which is impossible, since I have only 6 GB RAM? FF, on the other hand, uses a normal .4GB RAM

Are you sure it shows 34 GB rather than 34 MB (which would be more believable)?

Note that Google Chrud and Internet Exploder do the same thing - they have more processes running than you have Windows/Tabs.

Opera is a Chromium-based browser, so it will have a separate process for each tab.

I doubt that Windows allocated more memory than it physically has. It might be 3.4GB instead of 34. That's still pretty high, but Chromium-based browsers tend to eat up a lot of memory. It also depends on the site content for each tab.

This time I get 794 MB. What's a few decimal places more or less? ;-) There's been only one tab open all along, a Flash puzzle game. If it's normal, it's fine by me.
