How to power a portable external sound card

If I bought an external/USB sound card to use with my ASUS tablet which has only one USB port would there be a way to power both the sound card and the tablet at the same time? Both are powered only by 5V/USB. Would a powered USB hub do that and allow the audio signal from the sound card to get to the tablet without any kind of interference?

    example of sound card:

Are you needing a power unit that does not need AC power? How long does it need to last?

There is AC power available for any device that can use it but the tablet and the sound card can only get power via USB. They would need to run anywhere from an hour to a couple of hours which would be, I believe, more than the tablet can supply esp considering I need to use the "Phantom power/48 volt" option on the sound card to also power the microphone. I'll have a look at that link tnks.

If you have AC power available, then a powered USB hub might work, provided it can supply sufficient amperage to the audio device.

Something like that would power both devices as well as linking them
