When i right click in Windoze Explorer and select new Text Document it calls the txt file "New Text Document.txt"...(as it should)... i find this anoying as all i use notepad for mainly is to create files called "ReadMe.txt"
Is there a way to make NOTEPAD automatically call newly created .txt files "ReadMe.txt" so i dont have to keep Renaming them. (maybe a registry edit would do the trick)
This is probably a question that many people will find usefull, hopefully someone knows the answer.
Thx in Advance for all your Help!

i dont hava problem with right clickin and selectin new text document (easyest way in my situation)....
Just so u know y i wanna do this.....
every now and then i go on a download mission and d'load several Apps/Gamez. when downloading stuff its useful to include the App info in a ReadMe.txt file in same dir for future reference.
After having renamed new Text Document.txt to ReadMe.txt several times it becomes a bit anoying.
What i want to do is to just right click>select new ReadMe.txt and paste info into it. job done.

Then you can send anything to Notepad through your right mouse menu.

Ok, try this....Open Notepad>>File>>Save AS, name the file "ReadMe">>save the blank file to your desktop.
Now double click the "ReadMe.txt" icon on the desktop a blank text file opens, type in what you want>>File>>Save As>>point it to the folder you want to save it to>>click save & your done.....

Thx M8 but that would defete the object of what i want to do...but i know ur only trying to help, thas wat we're here for.
All i want is while navigating Explorer when i right click>select new I want an option to create "ReadMe.txt"...
...not really looking for a work around as at the moment i Right click>new>new text document and rename it to readme.txt and off i go...cant get much easyier than this wivout having a right click>new>ReadMe.txt shoutcut.
I thought that there would be a place in registry or sumut that gives it its name new text document and that i could change this.
Nice1 Mo, i shall use that from now on...is there any to add it to the "new" context menu, i've tried putting stuff in the windows/ShellNew dir to no avail...!
...as u didn't sugest it i guess that wat i really wanna do can't be done.
I did find that if you change the file association for TEXT DOCUMENT to read README, it will default now to NEW README.TXT. Well.......that's as close as I can get.
