Recent malware fix for all brands of Microsoft installs .. where?

with the recent Wannacry ransomware attacks on Microsoft systems - I hear that Microsoft is giving out ''fixes'' to all brands including Vista and XP , as most percentage of companies are still using older windows.,

I guess these patches will take a few days to come thru or do we look for them?

I can't understand how major corporations and institutions don't rely on malware software 2nd party tools to buy and install.. or do they really work..??

and finally how can a hacker get/ gain access to these malware tools ( govt source called WannaCry) to inflict- when the 'supposed brains' in the departments of Microsoft / Norton and others can't see this themselves ??

how can a hacker get/ gain access to these malware tools
They find out about an unpatched exploit and write their own software or buy software to use on the black software market. Same with adbots and pretty much most malware... there's no shortage of creeps with computer skills trying to take advantage of these things and computer owners not paying attention, not keeping their system's security updated or not using proper computer antivirus software etc.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.

    $$$$
Some do not want to spend it to max out the profits and others wanting to take advantage of that fact.

run their expensive MRI machines was XP-based
It had to be rewritten for Win 7 and the accountants would not release the money as it cost so much. Bean counters again.

Had my MRI done at 0900 and at 1100, 50 miles away , the Dr and I were looking at my MRI.
