Keylogger found on several HP laptops
An audio driver is recording keystrokes and storing them on some HP laptops.

So, it seems like they each have their turn. Wasn't Lenovo having a similar problem a year or 2 ago?

In this case, it appears that the software accidentally shipped with some diagnostic code still included. I don't think HP would have intentionally included a keylogger, especially since it doesn't send anything back to HP.

It's not HP who designed the software, and HP was click to put the blame on the company who made the audio software drivers. The turn around on hardware is so fast these days, that it's surprising that there is not more of this type of problem.
