System Won't Boot After Yanking USB Drive W/O Ejecting

Hi, I made a knee jerked reaction by pulling out a USB drive when I thought it was about to be formatted. Now my system won't boot. I've tried a number of things with no luck
    1) starting system with USB drive installed
    2) running Win 10 from ISO and doing system troubleshooting and recovery
    3) running chkdsk /f
    4) running system file checker (sfc /scannow)
    5) attempting to repair from Safe Mode (missing files and won't load)

Along the way, there was mention that dlls might be corrupted. I was able to re-install Win 10 on another HD and I was wondering if I could copy the Win 10 dlls to the drive that's not working. This would be easier that installing and configuring all my software. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for your suggestions!!

You did not say what error message(s) you are getting when you try to boot.

Did you try an "in-place upgrade"?

Hi JDC2000, thanks for you input. I did not do an "in-place upgrade" as I wanted to see if I could recover my PC without installing all my apps. I did check the link an I will Reset My PC as they suggested when I sell my Dell laptop.

You still did not say what happens when you try to boot.

If you look at the link I posted, you will see this:

The options above are great for what they are intended for, but you could also do a repair install of Windows 10 by performing an in-place upgrade without losing anything other than all installed Windows Updates.
