Far be it from me to tell you guys how to run this exellent forum
(that has saved my life on numerous occasions ... )

but cant help feeling that I should nt have to be logging in quite so often .

In the past 2 days Ive been back and forth and having to log in again and again
and even one time typing a long post and losing it by having to log in

I have a suspicion that in the software of the forum there s a section

    Log in time... 15 mins
    .................30 mins
    .......................2 hours
    .......................6 hours
and you ve ticked the 15 min option ! am I wrong ?

I'm here every day and many times during the day. I never have to log in.

I never have to log in because I'm either not running or am careful about running "cleaning" type of applications. They eat COOKIES where login information is stored on your computer.

No issues here. It sounds like you are clearing out the cookies, as SRJ mentioned.

You didn't say which browser you are using. Did you set it to clear cookies on exit?
Are you running any cleaner apps like CCleaner?
