how to turn off the internet without unplugging the router?
hi guys.
im addicted to the net. i need to turn off my internet. i've found im more productive when i do that.
however i have some relatives staying with me this week so turning off the router isnt an option. is there some way to turn off the net on my personal computer without it impacting anyone else's? there's no wires, all wireless.
thanks!

Just disable the wifi card in device manager.

Ahh that was simple. Thanks!
Is there any physical action I can take, or something that would take a bit longer to reverse? This works but the barrier to fixing it isn't that high either.

Disable the wifi adapter in the BIOS. That takes longer and a tiny bit more skill. Certainly more involved than unplugging the router.
You could also block your own computer's mac address in the router's settings or if the option is there set up time/clock restrictions on it.
VirtualDr email notices are not working.
Check back regularly for responses.
