    Samsung Laptop Battery

I purchased a Samsung laptop several years ago and it has been an excellent PC for me. Unfortunately, I am evidently reaching the end of the battery's life. When I contacted the vendor about a replacement, I was told that the only way to replace the battery is to send the laptop back to Samsung and have them do the replacement. Does anyone know if there is a way around this? I use this laptop every day and would hate to be without it for however long it would take to change the battery. Any help would be appreciated.

Post the model number of the laptop. (Any data on the manufacturer's label would be helpful.)

Note: If that is your only computer, and you use it every day and would hate to be without it, and it is several years old, you might want to consider acquiring a backup system of some sort in the event it suddenly dies for some reason.

It's a Samsung QX410-S02 with an Intel i5 processor. It had Windows 7 as the OS when I purchased it, but I upgraded to Windows 10 a year ago.

It is not my only PC, but it is my only laptop and gets the most use of the 3 PC's I use.

    Cons
Moody clickpad. Non-removable battery. No Sandy Bridge.
You'll have to disassemble the laptop a bit. There are sites that sell batteries, but I've never ordered one.

Thanks guys. I keep forgetting that "Google is my friend." So it appears, given one video I watched, that replacing the battery is simply a disassemble, unplug, plug-in and reassemble operation. I thought perhaps the battery was hardwired in. That doesn't appear to be the case. I can probably screw that up, but it's worth a shot.
