Resolved [RESOLVED] Importing bookmarks from another computer

My wife has a new XPS 13 running Windows 10 Pro. Is it possible to import bookmarks from her older laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, Internet Explorer and Chrome, to Edge on the new computer? Both computers are on the same wireless network. I could maybe put them in a shared folder on the old computer and access them thru the network, or share the location where they are stored, or...

So you want to import both the IE favorites and Chrome bookmarks into Edge? Are you going to install Chrome on the new computer?

If you're reinstalling Chrome on the new computer, just export the bookmarks to html, and then import them on the new computer.

Midknyte: The article for IE11 says to right click on the search result and select "Pin to task bar," but when i even put the mouse over the selection, before I have a chance to click, IE opens. I can't seem to see a way to get it on the task bar or create a desktop icon, since Windows 10 does not seem to have a left-click popup menu on the desktop.

Windows always seems to have about 10 ways to do just about anything and they are all the right way to do it.

Just a point that folks need to remember. 10 should read multiple, but I think folks understand.

Hmm. That's strange. I have no issues with that. Maybe your mouse click sensitivity is high? Or are you using the touchpad?
In any case, you can try one of the other methods.

Thanks for all the input. I now have IE-11 set up with bookmarks from the old laptop, and Chrome likewise. Outstanding. You folks are invaluable.
