weekly scan
hi,
Ive got superantispyware to do a regular scan with
is there a thread that has links to other scans I should be doing ?

What is recommended:
6. Run Malwarebytes "Quick scan" once in a while to assure safety of your computer.
7. Run Temporary File Cleaner (TFC), AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool (JRT) weekly

thanks for the tip
just installed AVG antivirus free version
I had to remove all mcafee stuff first
Just wondering , does windows provide a firewall ?
think I should make sure thats in place and working

Windows 10 has a built-in firewall. It will normally be turned on unless you have installed a different one.

Since XP SP3 came out, yes windows has had a firewall.
superantispyware is so old and out of date . . . .I don't even look at it anymore.
The native Windows Defender AV beats AVG antivirus in my book, been using the windows versions for years and NO problems either.
I hope you used the McCafee removal tool
