EPSON V33 SCANNER
I Have an Epson V33 scanner. When I scan a paper I try to open it as a PDF. It opens in Word as something else with a lot of weird symbols.
How can I get a scanned paper to open as a PDF. I have Adobe 9 installed but it does not open there? How do I fix this?

R-click the pdf and select open with and if you Adobe is not listed the browse to it using the find/option button. Be sure to put the check in always use box.
I use pdf xchange viewer , easier on the computer.

It's not in Adobe Acrobat, it's in the window near the bottom, where you choose which program to use to open .pdf files.

If .pdf files are not already associated with Adobe Reader (they should be if you have no installed any other .pdf reader software, or otherwise changed the file association), then you can use the method at the link below to restore the .pdf file association to Adobe Reader:

Are you sure you had the scanner, (the scanner's software program), set up to save your scan as a .PDF file?
Mine allows me to scan to a .BMP, .GIF, .IFF, .PCX, .PSD, .RLE, .TIF, .TGA, .WMF, .DCX, or a .PDF file.
