[RESOLVED] Securing Network
I have a friend who is a business owner. He wants to setup a secure network for his business. As of now, he is using the wifi provided by the company that he is renting his office space. I have shared with him that wifi is not a secured network. He has shared with me that he will look into a secure HOTSPOT which seriously, that is unheard of right?
So my question is, what do you recommend for a secure network?
I can think of VPN. Or should he order a separate internet service from an ISP? Any other recommendation, please feel free.
Thank You

He should probably have his own ISP service. Even then, if he is wanting to access business computers (servers or client PCs) at his office location from an external location, he should be using a VPN.

If he's using someone else's Internet connection, esp via wifi the very least he should be using is a good VPN but personally if it were my business I'd call a local ISP and get my own line. Depending on his needs 40 - 100 dollars a month is peanuts compared to the results of having your business/financial communications and data stolen.
