    Resolved [RESOLVED] Chrome with XP

I'm still running XP with Firefox, and I need Chrome just for a small portion of one site that I need for work. I've tried the Portable Chrome, and I'm having problems installing scripts, so I have to chuck it. I did a little research and see that Chrome supported XP through v. 49.

I've found and downloaded v46 "enterprise version." What does that mean?

    There's also a v36 here

I know nothing about Chrome. Any recommendations? I already have extra security programs on my computer, and XP has been very safe so far.

XP hasn't been patched in over 2 years, so you're already taking a risk there.

Chrome for Enterprise is for IT managers to distribute via .msi. The old version is NOT secure.

If anything, you can stay on Firefox ESR 52 when it is released. That will give you a few extra months.

    I'm planning on ESR 52.
I have BitDefender Anti-Ransomware and MBytes Anti-Exploit running, besides the usual security. They're not writing a lot of malware for XP.

But I must have Chrome with TamperMonkey for a particular site, as much as I hate Google. If you recommend any versions, I'll go look for them.

If anything, you could try to find Chrome v49, but Google has purposely tried to remove the older versions. Most sites will redirect to Google for the latest version.
