Installing a timer alarm app on an early model iPad

I would like to use my old iPad (Model MB292LL with OS 5.1.1) as a kitchen timer, to sound an alarm after xx minutes.
I don't <think> that capability came with the iPad, right?

Can someone suggest an app that will do that, or some other method I might jury rig? Thanks. ...wdc

I only have access to newer iPads, so I can't say for sure about old ones. But I also don't remember them not having a timer function. If you tap the stock clock app (the one that looks like an analog clock), there's no timer option??

Han: Thanks. I'll keep looking around. Seems odd, looking back, that such an advanced gadget (back then) would not have a simple alarm feature. ....bkar

Do you have the analog clock app? Photos of the first iPad show that you should.
