still have 1 issue , when closing the computer extern HD is not shutting down.
Hi Sir Train and Broni
i think there is still one issue here ,
when i shutdown my pc the lights from the KVM switch and both extern HD's are still running ,
the computer is shutdown but the other things are still running even when i take a look 3 hours later the lights are stil on.
and earlyer it was when i close/shutdown the pc ALL lights are out the KVMSwich and the extern 2 HD's.
maybe you know how to fix this one ?
thanks in advance

In BIOS, disable wake on lan.
If the KVM lights are on, the computer is running. And I guess you never set the screen shutdown to never so you could see it has booted up.
Even with those settings, after shutting down, I kill the power strip, but I do that to save money on the electric bill as electricity is expensive where I live now. But my modem and router are on a UPS so they will not lock up do to a power flux.

thank you Train for the answer ,
here the same i live in Belgium and pay 120 euro every month only for electric power.
but before that virus that i had here, they where out when i close the computer
and now they stay on since 3 day's...these 3 devices.
so they use a lot electritity...
thanks in advance

yes they are connected with usb, on a 2.0 usb because it is a old machine here 4 years old
So i think the windows is not shutting down the usb connections.
Last week before the hijack here it was working ,
when i close the computer i see the lights go out on the kvm switch and on both extern HD's.

Check all settings, may even want to end up doing a repair install. I believe the infection may have messed with windows so bad it can not shutdown completely. Sure hope I am wrong on that point.

Disconnect them, go into device manager and remove them, reboot.
Connect them and test to see if they shut down correctly.
Enjoy a good night.
