    Surprised no one inquired about this. Do you think it really was an error or a warning about our vulnerability?

    weak default passwords in its products were partly to blame.
    That always is a problem. Why I change them.

    Many Internet of Things devices (like those mentioned in the story) are cheap and were/are not designed with much security. Add buyers who just plug the IOT stuff in and run it on their core, home networks... You have a recipe for problems. Based on everything I know of this, we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. It's not going to get better for quite some time!
