    Bluetooth Service Error

One day the bluetooth service on my computer (Dell XPS 8700) and then suddenly it doesn't. I have tried replacing drivers etc. still no go. I would appreciate any help that any one could give. Thanks in advance.

What does Device Manager show - is there a Bluetooth adapter shown, and does it have any errors?

With Windows 10, Microsoft could possibly have helpfully "upgraded" your drivers to some non-working ones. Also, if there is a hardware switch that disables the wireless networking it may also control the Bluetooth as well. Check to make sure it is not set to Off.

That would appear to be a Microsoft error of some type, since the Bluetooth hardware appears and does not show an error. You could try looking in Event Viewer to see if any errors appear there that might be related.

If you have a USB Bluetooth adapter, you could also try connecting that to see what happens.

That is to be expected in the Action Center, since the Bluetooth is not working.

How to open Event Viewer in Windows 10:

I found no bluetooth related errors in the event viewer. I appreciate all your help; if you think of anything else let me know. I have also submitted this issue to the other forums for which you provided links.

To eliminate hardware failure, you could try one of the adapters like those at the link below, if you can find one locally.

I just googled "dell xps 8700 bluetooth" and it seems you're not alone.

I went to the Intel Wireless Networking and opened and ran the Drive Update Utility.
Is this the driver you installed?

i freaking love Virtual Dr.; hadn't been here in years and brought this problem to the community and got resolution. Thank you all for your help. I installed the drivers mentioned in the quote and it's working beautifully. Again, thank you so very much.
