    Nforce 61.77 - 66.93's and I think I was using the 62's with mine.

But see the attachment for setting up for legacy drivers.

I opened up the driver page but do not know what to do with it. For the graphics card.

Did you look at Train's attachment? It tells you exactly what to put in each field, and then you'd click Search.

That takes you to the 81.98 drivers. You can try those first.

"That takes you to the 81.98 drivers" I tried this. Says file not found. Is there a site available where I can download and try a monitor for my CTX VL700 monitor for win 98. The CTX site does not work as it says fille not found or is there a driver install program available for a inf file that my driver is.

    Jerry,

The first 2 links at the link below may have the file you need. Note that I have not tried to download the file from either of these sites. You should scan any downloads for malware with Malwarebytes and your antivirus software after downloading them to check for any unwanted inclusions. If no malware is found, you can transfer the file to you Windows 98 machine and install the drivers for you video card.

Complete success. I used this link: http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/nvidia/W...9x_english.exe
and got the driver installed. I am not sure how I did it as the program asked to to install the
driver so I put the floppy disk in and said ok. Then it said file not found so I skipped the file
and the driver installed from http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/nvidia/W...9x_english.exe.
Was my driver used or did the nvidia program install it? Please explain what happened.

    It installed the latest.
Hope you took good notes as a lot of drivers are installed like that.

Now would be an excellent time to SAVE THAT DRIVER file, as well as make an image backup of your complete Windows 98 system. That would help you avoid a re-install in the future in case of a hard drive failure.

NO. It's for your VIDEO CARD. Like I said, you needed the VIDEO CARD driver in order to show the higher resolution/colors.

Is the color dull and washed out, and is the resolution stuck on 640 X 480?
You reinstalled Windows 98, so the driver for the display adapter needs to be installed.
The driver has the controls that allow you to change the resolution and select "32-bit true color".
