    Seeking Good Photo Editor

Well -- I'm looking online for a good photo editor (free) and there seems to be a lot of them. I don't want anything where I have to install and download because it may be virus infected. I would prefer a desktop CD/software but I know those are hard to find (adobe? no). Those softwares went away with the dinosaurs.

Is anybody using an online editor that they swear by. I've tried these:
    www.picmonkey.com
    https://www.freeonlinephotoeditor.com/
    Not impressed.
I need one that will crop and enhance (Paint doesn't crop) Thanks.

I had a really reliable well-working photo editor with MS Word 2010, but through some strange circumstances I had to uninstall the software and now without one to use.

    FastStone Image Viewer
    Been using for years now.
They do have a portable version.

    Then there is Gimp

    Thanks.
While I have your attention would you know why I cannot download files using using Firefox, latest edition? I went online to find answers but got a lot of tech instructions.
For example - Gimp. I clicked the download and it disappears and I have to switch to another browser to download.

Which download button did you press? There are two. Click on the second one. Otherwise it takes to a BitTorrent and probably why you saw what you did.

Just so you know, FastStone is the easiest to use, the one I've used since Train told me about it. Gimp has a large learning curve.

And I've moved your thread/question to the correct forum. Multimedia is about DVDs, music. Digital Imaging is about photos/printers/software for such things as image editing.

I always use site #2 for the installer or get the portable.

Firefox starts the download for me.
