Can't use firefox or chrome it says couldn't be downloaded-retry, I then clicked Retry and
it then downloaded and when I double click either browser it says "How do you want to open this file" IE, Launch widows app, notepad,
paint, WMP or Wordpad. The downloads show as a notepad icon.

It looks like there is something wrong with file association.

    Download FixExec.exe to your desktop.
Double click on downloaded file to run the fix.
When the program has finished, it will generate a log on the desktop called FixExec.exe.
Post the log in your next reply.

NOTE. If for any reason you're not able to execute FixExec.exe rename it to FixExec.com, FixExec.pif or FixExec.scr.

Got FixExec to run by renaming it but there was still the problem saying "file couldn't be downloaded-retry" before it would download.

I think there is something wrong with your Windows installation.
Let's try to repair it: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1...e-upgrade.html

I recently done a win 10 clean install on this laptop using a usb download from the internet to get rid of Samsung bloatware, does this mean
that download was corrupt. I actually haven't put anything on this laptop yet as i'm planning to sell it so I don't need anything saved except
a couple of drivers which win 10 doesn't provide. Should I do a repair with a usb or can I do a new clean install from the tenforums.
Also is there a program I can use to save the drivers so I don't lose any.

If you don't have anything to lose I'd go with clean installation.
Windows 10 should provide most drivers.
If anything is missing you can get it from laptop's manufacturer site.
