    2 FLOPPY DRIVES

I am running a HP desktop with win 7 prof. I attached 2 usb floppy drives to the USB ports. In my computer
one shows up as drive A: The other does not show up at all so I cannot use it. How can I make the
2nd Floppy drive show up so I can use it?

Can we assume that you are attempting to copy floppy disks? Otherwise, there would be no need for a second USB floppy drive unless you have a 3.5" drive AND a 5.25" drive.

You could check the BIOS settings to see if there is a setting there to enable the second floppy drive. There may be. Otherwise, you could be out of luck.

I'd like to know also. It would be faster to copy to the hard drive, swap disks, and the copy the data to the new floppy.

I don't know if this would work, but you could try unplugging one drive, setting the connected drive to B:, and reconnect the second drive (should detect as A.
You'd need to edit MountedDevices in the Registry:

Unless you are trying to copy bootable diskettes (not sure why you would want to do that), Midknyte's diskette copying method would be faster.

    1 Drive situation:

    diskcopy a:

(diskcopy will copy floppy to RAM, then prompt you to swap floppys till disk is created)

DISKCOPY is still in Windows, all the way up to 7.

Make the floppy bootable and diskcopy to it.
