[RESOLVED] Laptop Sign In
Hi
I have a laptop with Windows 10 which boots up as soon as it is switched on and I do not receive a request for my password. I would like to change it so that it asks for my password as soon as I switch on. But I can't seem to find any way of doing this. Can any one help please?

I think you are referring to the lockscreen. Try this:

Note that if you have the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, this may not work. Microsoft has supposedly disabled this registry change unless you are running Windows 10 Enterprise or Education versions.

Ah rats. I haven't installed the Anniversary update yet, so I can't test that out. Well, give it a try anyway.

Might try setting a bootup password in the CMOS.

Hmmm... A CMOS bootup password works fine on two different laptops here.

Laptop login
Thank you for the suggestion, that will without doubt solve the problem. I hope that it does not create other problems.
Many thanks
