[RESOLVED] Sub-Titles
What ho one and all,
I saved a French language film from a web site and found the relevant sub-titles. Using one of the various media players I have installed , I can watch the film with sub-titles.
Since a neighbour previously gave me the book, I thought it would be nice to burn the film to a DVD for her. Have managed to run the film and (apparently) embedded sub-titles, so all should be hunky dory.
But when I try to play the DVD, with some of my media players, the sub-titles do not appear. Media Player Classic; no / MPC-HC; yes / PotPlayer; no / VLC; no.
It is as if the sub-titles have not been embedded, but how come they do display with one player? What have I done wrong (if anything?)
Thanks
Rex

MPC-HC has a codec the rest do not. My guess.

Is the subtitle file the same name as the movie file?
Ex. mymovie.avi and mymovie.srt
What type of subtitle file is it, srt, ssa, etc?

Sometime ago that I addressed this question and I don't recall the solution, but it was resolved.
Thanks
