    Question printer for transfer paper

Does any know if you can print photos on transfer paper with a printer if it does not specify that item.. My wife needs a new printer for photos on a quilt,, Brother says they do not support that, their is a quilting web site that suggests Epson, HP or Canon. Fabric cloth type?

I was hoping to use Brother

    tks

Ink formulas have changed is why they do not work any more.

    I'll take that printer.

Not an issue for most people and they're good printers. My preference for saying if it were not an all in one was because I have two scanners already and don't need another printer that comes with a scanner.

A all-in-one does not do the negative scanning that I need. GRRRR
I have negative that go back to the 1930s I need to scan. So I will need to buy a $800 scanner to finish up.

My Artisan 730 has made many a cross country trip since I got it in 2012. Probably close to 60,000 miles.
Easy on ink and does a fine job printing color photos.

The issue is mine, the companies i called yesterday threw up a RED FLAG when TRANSFER PAPER or FABRIC CLOTH was mentioned, It may jamb the machine cause damage, rollers will not pick it up from tray, will not print on it. If no one has any personal experience or knows some one that has? They have machines from 10,000 - 2000 that do this, for a picture a seek? Are the printers not capable of this today or is one that says photo printer needed.

No you don't. My 4490 scans medium format film. And I've scanned larger film on mine. I just lay the film on the bed, change the type of material I'm scanning in the settings and it works fine.

V600 should do it nicely. Thanks, as the specs have changed to the better.
    Code:
     Transparency Size: 2.7" x 9.5"

    Supported Film Size:

35 mm mounted slides (4 frames)
35 mm film strips (12 frames)
Medium format strips 6x22 cm (2 frames)

That V600 has a good price too. I think I paid more for 4490 than that and it's 8 years old.

The issue is the thickness of this photo cloth paper.. Another rep told me the workforce was the one my wife needed it would handle the heavier paper so cancelling the order on the xp 630

still more expensive ink with epson
