picked up an infection that sends unsolicited hateful email to my ip account.

in my many travels around the net ,. .I sometimes sign up for things .. and use my email address . .( I know I know I shouldn't do this and should if have to use fake email address ..) . .But in hindsight what is done is done .. So this Problem has arisen ...

I got numerous emails everyday from spam senders who have this email address of mine ,and send me Countless emails ( over 100 in 4 weeks) urging me to click 'here click 'that send 'here send 'that etc.. ( which I don't do ) but this hasn't stopped these spammed letters of bad intent sent to me by ignoring ..

when I say hateful i am talking about pornographic messages .... ( funny thing is I have never or don't frequent at all porn sites just regular sites including Pirate Bay but I never left any email at that site )

So question is ( obviously ) How to stop or at least slow to a minimum per day from its current 6 or 8 of these emails??

My ip provider has a spam "package" on their site but the problem is: each day the ' headline message' changes , OR the sender changes its name ,

    it is never the same..
is there a way , besides deleting my account and starting with a new .. to stop this or fool the sender into not sending ? The Web world changes every day and there is always some new toy that comes along to help us ..

Since this is not an infection issue I'm moving this topic to appropriate forum.

    Basically you have two options:
    1. Keep adjusting spam filters and at some point it should reduce amount of spam.
    2. Change your email address.

Not many options to stop spamming. Like Broni says... spam filtering or abandoning the account.

Any attempt at contacting the senders would be a bad idea since:

    a) it's a robot
    b) it will confirm your email account exists and will increase the am't of spam sent
    c) they don't care

Never click on ANY link on a spam email. It will either be malware or will confirm your email has been received and will let the spammer/bot know he has a live email acc't.
Once you're on a spammers list there's rarely anything you can do about it. In the future set up some throwaway email acc'ts for less than important communications so if it does start getting extensive spam you can just forget it and make a new one. Also use email addresses that aren't likely to be in a dictionary type spammers list.. eg- instead of johnsmith@blah.email use something like 1johnsmith2@ or johnsmith-email@

two temp/throwaway email services I use are www.mailinator.com and https://10minutemail.com

As far as filtering goes see if there's any text in the subject or body of the emails that are the same each or most times and filter that.

Abandoning a primary email acc't can be a pain but sometimes it's necessary. Just remember that you'll need to not only notify your email contacts but also change your email contact info for everything you've used that address for...eg- banking, gov't communications, forums, online sales web sites, etc etc.

You'll need to keep the old acc't active for a while though just in case you do get some real emails from people/places that aren't aware of the new email address.

I've had to do this in the past and although it's inconvenient ultimately it's worth it to get rid of excessive spam and now that I use an email address that isn't in a dictionary and use throwaway acc'ts I very rarely get any spam at all.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.

If you use Gmail or Outlook.com (which also extends to Hotmail or Live mail), they provide for "+" email aliases. By using this approach, you can make every website a separate email address. See this article for Gmail (it works the same for Outlook.) https://support.google.com/mail/answer/12096?hl=en

Once you're using this setup, filtering that the article notes is then easy to apply. Just make a filter for the "To:" field and you're ready to go.

The only drawback for the "+" method is that your core email is part of the alias. But it does mean you don't have to create any new accounts or abandon any old ones.

I managed to stop about 80% of the spam by setting up a filter that looks for : ! or ? ..

as most of these spam messages are questions or excited Exclaimation points .. Most of my regular mail does not have these in place ..
