xxclone restore

What ho one and all,

More out of interest than planning to use but ................................

Read a report in a magazine about xxclone and how good it is, so thought I would investigate. Appears to do what other cloning programs do, and I already rung Acronis True Image which I understand.

But with xxclone, I do not understand how to restores the clone. There are restore ' Restore Points' but that is not the same as the entire os. As I say, just academic interest but what am i missing?

I do not think it has provisions for restoring.

As the name implies, XXClone "clones" the Windows system disk to another one

So you would have to clone back to the original drive.

I am always on the look-out for software that maybe, does a better job than what I have installed. Am happy with ATI but thought I would give xxclone a look.

You think that one makes a clone to a different hdd / partition, and to restore, run xxclone again and send it back to C: Think I will stick with ATI!

I've always consider cloning software to be used when the original drive dies.

Yank out dead drive - insert other cloned drive and you're up an running in under ten minutes.

I clone a drive, make notes, computer, etc.

One goes bad, replace the bad one and up and running.
