Here's what he wants to know.
I have a computer that is connected to a very fast LAN.

The device should have the drivers built in (in other words, it connects
He wants to know if there is such a device that will allow him to do what he says above. He's not in a home. So, I'm assuming he travels.

It sounds like he wants to turn his computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Oh geez. They should be able to detect rogue hotspots on their network. Moreover, installing the hotspot software would probably require admin access. Does he want to get fired?

Evidently, he's not concerned with being fired. Must have lots of job offers. Anyway, I said friend but he's actually just a member on PentaxForums.com and asked his question in our General Talk forum. I have since added a rule message to him and closed his thread. He's a problem child over there and I should have guessed this wasn't an above board question.

I'm just going to close this thread now. No reason it should be up.
