    Resolved [RESOLVED] PRINTER PROBLEM

I have win 98se installed on an old IBM tower computer. It works fine but I also have 2 HP printers installed. They are
an HP 950XI and an HP 1200 printers. They are both print, copy, fax, scan. The HP 1200 works fine. I am having
trouble with the HP 951xi. When I try to print it prints something I did not order. I deleted the printer in control
center-printers then using the install cd tried to reinstall it. I get a warning message it is detected this printer is
already installed. I tried to use add printer setting and had no results. What is worse is I am now getting a warning
message: "UNABLE TO START DRIVER FOR HPOID407.EXE" This message will not go away It appears everytime I
boot up. How can I uninstall the HP 950xi printer so I can reinstall it config safe did no good.

Remember to reboot between the removal and reinstall.

I usually did a shutdown, waited a minuted, rebooted then reinstalled.

Win 98se does not have a "Windows Programs and Features." program.

HP support memo did not work. I find it nearly impossible to remove a driver so I did the final solution I formatted the
hard drive and installed everything back. A lot of work but it worked.

Yes, that was a downside of 98 at times.
