HD STORAGE
I have an HP 8300 workstation with a 500gb SSD hard drive. I have a spare Sata 250 GB Hard drive. Could I install the extra
hard drive in the computer and hook it up to a Sata conection and power connection and use it for storage. Would it
show up as a drive letter in my computer where I can open it a view the files?

Done just that a few times.
Someimes I have had to go into disk management and assign a letter and with new hdds, as they did nnot show up in computer, actually format and assign a drive letter in disk management.
XP to Win 10 where the operating systems.
But with the price of SATA hdds being low, I just get a new drive.
