"stick" devices and alternative power supplies?
Chromecast (normal and audio) and Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Can something like a multiple port usb desk top charger be used to power all there of these so only using one mains socket (yes I realise about the overall current usage).
The reason for asking is that even though a lot of the time the devices will be on a sort of standby mode they are going to be powered 24/7 and possibly when in use be used a lot longer than a phone owned take to charge.
Some of these desktop chargers are "normal" but others list some sort of "intelligent" charging technology to make the most of each device.
Basically these things are described as chargers and the stick devices dont have batteries
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Those devices do not provide any useful function unless they are connected to something that can access their capabilities. I am not sure why you would want to connect them to a device that only provided power.
More details on what you are wanting to do with them might be helpful.
