    OLD LAPTOP

I sometimes use an IBM Thinkpad Model 2635-2EU running Win 3.1. I use it to run an impact printer.
I turned it on today and got a green screen saying ERROR 00-161 and 00-163. I could not get rid of
this screen or go any farther. Could it be the internal battery or what?

Most likely the CMOS battery has died. Would be a good place to start.
