    Question System image question

I dis a system image and then a file backup via windows system and file backup, on this new win 8.1,Toshiba satellite c55d-b, 1tb hd dr, to a toshiba external drive, lots of free space, and it literally took just a few minutes vs when i do one the same way on the win 7 Toshiba,, it takes hours. That one i think is on a 320 gb hd. 4 g ram

    , This one s a AMD A8 6410 2.0 GHZ, 4 g am

I'm not sure if the other one is a dual or quad,,,,

Is it the amount of data on the drive or the processor that makes the time difference ,, I was amazed

    curious

USB2 vs USB 3 and the amount of data on the hdd.

I have a 2 TB hdd with about 900 GB on it and 8 hours comes to mind with USB 3.0
