    McaFee removal tool?

    I want to remove McAfee from my laptop windows 8.1 64 b, is the McAfee removal tool the right way to go? It's a trial version pre installed Toshiba satellite c55d-b

    A little more detail, a little more questionable, than some other articles. It says my subscription is valid,,

    Years ago you could not uninstall all of McaFee by add/remove in windows, i guess it still remains to be seen if it will now according to the options?

    I always removed it via the normal Add/Remove in Windows and then used the tool afterward. I wanted to be sure it was gone!

    I just read on another laptop site that removing Mcafee live free trial,, you need open the dashboard and disable running items before you go to control panel add/remove..

    Mine is a toshiba // how ever?

    I just remove it using programs and features, reboot and run the removal tool.

    McAfee is gone, Defender is in plus MBAM,ADWC , JRT, SOPHOS
