Hmm. That was the latest driver for the 7300. I wonder if the card is going bad. It shouldn't have had "stripes" as you described. I guess you can leave the stock drivers, but it's weird that there is an extra unknown video adapter in Device Manager.
You can try and older set of drivers. 307.83 is the latest set, so try one before that. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

Something like the GeForce 296.10 Driver (pre 300 series).
As far as the network, is the browser working ok now? Did you remove all proxy settings from IE?
I went back into device manager and had it to install driver and it found on in windows update, it loaded just fine and everything is working now. No problems...Oh I also downloaded Direct X 9.0 too maybe that helped.
Thanks for your time, I am going to wait until in the morning before I end this, just in case. Thanks again....
Yes all the browsers are working now, after it found the network controller Linksy wireless, it found my wireless network....

Well the strips came back this morning, so I am unistalling that one, and going to try again.... I found a 295.00 driver but didn't see a 296.10 driver.... I guess I will just keep trying drivers until I find one that don't cause a conflict... Everything else seems to be working.

I finally found 296.10 but it was the same, stripes everywhere. So I decided to use the one from Dell, and I got the error nv4_mini sys. I can't seem to find a driver that will work. That is all I am needing now, and I think eveyrthing else is working... I tried a couple of older drivers on nVidia site, but same thing they all had a conflict... I will keep trying to find the right driver... Thanks again...

The oldest drivers I see on the Nvidia site are the 195.62s. That is still newer than the 163.71 from the Dell site.
Not sure why you couldn't find the 296.10 before. Did you use the choices I told you to use on the Nvidia site?

Yes I used the same choices as you, I guess I overlooked 296.10 the first time. It said old drivers and betas, I didn't click on any betas.
I am still trying different drivers.....

I think I tried all the drivers that was listed under that, where the older and Beta drivers, were below that. I will check again to make sure, but I did list those choices the first time. I am writing down the drivers I have tried...

I used the display driver unistaller, so far no help.... I have tried so many drivers, if I use the old driver, I get nv4_mini sys error, if I get new ones I get a conflict, the stripes come back on mouse pointer and desktop and device manager, pink and blue colors..
I am at a loss, I am ready to give up. A new install did not help get rid of that nv4_mini sys error.... I don't like to give up, but I have been everywhere looking for a driver that will work....
Thanks for all that helped......

Like I mentioned before, it's sounds like a bad video card. Does that video card have a heatsink fan? Stripes can be caused by overheating. I would pull the card and look for leaking capacitors also.
I think it does have heatsink fan, I will take a look. When I pull the card, do I look for anything on the card? I know how to check capacitors, do I check them all on mobo? Is there a way to check for bad video card?
I have to add the computer was really dirty when I got it, don't think it had ever been cleaned. I got it all cleaned up where I could reach...
