[RESOLVED] Registry set point for recovery
I want to install the update for Windows 10. I presently have windows 8.1 which was updated from my original version of Win7 on my laptop.
I would like to set a new recovery point in the registry before I upgrade to Win10 in case I have an issue with the upgrade so I can reverse the upgrade (previous registry point) if things go wrong to before the upgrade to Win10. I have done it before with an older version of windows but I don't know how to do it with Win8.1. I did a search for "registry" in windows but nothing was found.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

It will take more than a "recovery point" to revert back to a previous version of Windows.

You should really make a full backup of your system before upgrading to Win10. There are no guarantees that the rollback will work perfectly. Plus you only have 30 days to revert back.

Ok, thank you all for your replies and suggestions. Very much appreciated.
Yes, I meant "restore point". I did by accident run into the setting by searching for it and was able to make one.
So far I like Win10 so hopefully I won't need to go back to 8.1
Have a great day!!
