Question Found New Hardware error message

Found New Hardware error message,, vista 32 bit

On my desk top this goes back several weeks and was discussed here, but i did not have the "right error message
When i boot it gives the Found New Hardware error message, windows has found new drivers need be installed . I have done that.
    With help from here.

I see there are several issues on this and as was noted mine was in the device manager where the yellow tag was on display, "there are none anywhere now" but the message still comes up and i just close it off.

There are 2 or 3 different areas allow, notify later, or check for drivers, if i choose one of those in the past the display would be affected in some manner.

Apparently there was something changed when that driver update was done in the device manager,, we know that should not be done in that manner.

Any ideas what might be the corrective manner, the desktop was a shop build so i'll have to pst the other details later.

The first step is to find out what hardware Windows thinks was found. Does the dialog box show any other useful information? Post a screen capture of it if possible.

Have you checked Event Viewer for any messages that might be useful in determining what the hardware item is?

It says video drivers. Did you download the drivers from Nvidia? The video drivers are included with the chipset drivers.
    https://www.nvidia.com/download/driv...px/14874/en-us

    nForce Driver Version 15.49

    Version: 15.49 WHQL
    Release Date: 2009.10.1
Operating System: Windows 7 32-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit
    Language: English (US)
    File Size: 187.73 MB

Is this the same problem from months ago?

    yes and yes...
    -------------------------
this is what system information says Driver Version 8.17.11.9713
    ---------------------------------------
and that is what device manager says
    ---------------------------------

They were installed as per those previous links
    --------------------------------

Not that this id related to other google issues that refer to the Found New Hardware, but it seems other issues may be there
    ---------------------
I have run MBAM. ADWCLEANER, JRT, nothing found with those
    ----------------------------
Tomorrow i can try the link you have see what happens, everything is fine except the error message.

Tonight when i checked for updates, it showed Acer display ALl916 optional
    and nVidia-Network-NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller

all are optional, and i haven't seen these for awhile. and the last time i hid them if they are the same.

I rarely use this, but be nice to get rid of this

That is the same driver download i have from before, it's in my downloads, it must not be taking?

I talked to the builder yesterday, and he said the mb and these drivers would be the same.

Just opened the file ran the install for an hour,, same thing, the wizard found this conflict for another microsoft version running,, "the found new hardware error message" had to close that to continue , on reboot the message is still there.
guess it's a shop item as i said before

Then try removing the old drivers first before installing the 15.49 set. You don't need the Acer display driver. If your network is working, then you don't need the Nvidia network drivers either.

The wizard was doing that "removing" but this FOUND NEW HARDWARE popped up at the same time and it said there was a conflict, some how this has to be fixed and NO this problem started with drivers updated via device manager ,, remember,, we been thee on that subject, this is where it started,,, don't need to discuss that anymore.

What i inserted above,, i'm not the only one with similar issues

Will this uninstaller hit the FOUND NEW HARDWARE error message, or just the display drivers that are shown in the system.

This FOUND NEW HARDWARE error message, has something to do with something besides display drivers and i was labeled Microsoft device, when the Wizard was in process,

This driver install went straight to the Wizard also, it was not using setup.exe

So this may and may not kill the message>?

Your saying it will not cure the error message?

No it will not touch the error, but will remove the corrupted drivers that is causing the error.
Reboot and then install the correct driver.
