Depending upon your skills and tools on hand just about any case can be modded for newer hardware, I've cut up so many I've lost count over the years. With the newer cases though there's no need to spend days with a Dremel tool doing metal surgery. My two personal favorite cases at the moment are the Corsair C70 and 500R, just assemble and go. Newegg has both on sale at times in the $69-89 range and they're far better than modding an old case. USB 3.0, great airflow, bottom mounted power supplies, different configuration choices and nearly all liquid cooling kits bolt right in. I have rigs with Coolermaster Cosmos, Storm Scout and HAF932 cases as well as two Corsair 500R and one C70 in my currently in use collection. The C70 is the easiest to work with, has military type latches for the side panels and carrying handles that fold down. It's also powder coated in black, white (my favorite) or military green. If you can get one for under $90 it's a no-brainer in all catagories.
