    Cool DVD Player

    Hi Everybody!
Just installed Windows 10 today. Some likes and dislikes. One issue was when I inserted a DVD movie into my drive, I was directed to the "Store" to obtain a DVD player. In Windows 7 , Media Player did this. In Windows 10 it does not.
Now in the "Store" the first selection was the "Windows DVD Player" which looked like the Microsoft version. They want $15.00 for this! Not today!!! There were a couple free ones there which are more in my budget but I don't know which one to pick. Or do any of you folks know of any other free aftermarket DVD players I could download and install?
Thanks as always for your advice
    Dave

Another alternative that is much more than a DVD player is Kodi Media Center:
    http://kodi.tv/kodi-15-1-isengard-maintenance-release/
Formerly Xbox Music Center (XBMC) the name changed to Kodi last year but the product is basically the same with many improvements. If you had Windows Media Center on your PC with Windows 7 or 8 Kodi has all the functionality of that program and more. Kodi plays all types of video and music files as well as DVD's and has a huge list of add on proggies for both video and audio formats, even a weather add on that allows you to pick from a list of providers . . . I picked Yahoo! Weather and love it. It has a large offering of skins downloadable from within the program. Kodi is completely free, open source software. By downloading directly from the Kodi site I have never had an issues with malware or viruses from installation.
    Another is Daum PotPlayer:
    https://potplayer.daum.net/
Nothing to do with smoking weed Korean source software that plays most all media as well as DVD's. Skins widely available for PotPlayer on the web. Also completely free with no upsell to obtain additional features. Everything is there from the get go.
